Dear Members and Friends,
It is difficult to think that already one year has passed. As I reflect on the accomplishments of the Association and the membership I can say it was a great year. Many of you who have been involved with SCCGRA were disappointed that we as a board had to cancel the 2011 Sierra Stampede. While that was one of the toughest decisions we had to make, it was very necessary. After attending the IGRA Convention in San Diego, it was clear that several of our sister associations across the country also struggled as we did. I say 2011 was successful because we were able to keep SCCGRA financially stable, and most importantly, we did not "fold" as others in IGRA have. We end the year with an IGRA approved rodeo, a full board for 2012 and a Rodeo Director. As I hand over the association reins to the 2012 President, I look forward to an even better 2012.
