CONTESTANT INFORMATION (MUST
READ )
Membership in an IGRA Member or Recognized Association is required
to compete, and the contestant or the contestant’s
association must provide proof of membership. All
contestants must be of legal age (18yrs.).
Contestants must enter a minimum of one event for
each day or two events if only competing on one
day. A $50.00 (minimum required) NON-REFUNDABLE
deposit must be included with your entry form postmarked
by the deadline.
Late entries or additional event entries will only be accepted between
6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on Friday (Registration);
the day prior to the first performance at
an additional flat fee of $50.00.
This fee will go to the hosting association.
Additional fees do not apply to:
- 1st time contestants, defined as an individual who
has not been assigned a four (4) digit IGRA
number.
- A contestant who has been assigned a four (4) digit IGRA
number within the previous 30 days.
- A contestant entering or adding speed events.
- A contestant entering or adding camp events provided one
member of the team has pre-registered.
All entries fees paid at registration must be paid in cash, certified
check, credit card or money order only. NO PERSONAL/BUSINESS
CHECKS OF ANY KIND. If you
will be arriving late, you are responsible for
making prior arrangements to have your registration
completed and entry fees paid by the 9:00 p.m.
close of registration.
MANDATORY MEETING FOR NEW CONTESTANTS -
All NEW Contestants must attend a mandatory meeting
at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Rio Linda Rodeo
Grounds! Failure to attend this meeting will
result in your not being allowed to compete in
the 2008 Sierra Stampede Rodeo.
PAYOUT - Day Money will
be distributed back to contestants based upon the IGRA Rodeo Rule Book.
Day money that is not awarded by the end of a particular Rodeo Weekend
will be held in escrow by IGRA for the Finals Rodeo Contestant Day money.
There is no additional Prize money at this time from international
sponsor or local sponsor. We will update you as the Prize money is added.

Campers and RV's are okay for
the contestants that want to stay overnight.
There are no hook ups and the gates are locked
by the park ranger (even with overnight security)
at 10PM. Due to the limitations of the facility,
camping is discouraged, but it is possible.

All contestants bringing a horse to the 2008
Sierra Stampede are required by IGRA rules
to:
· Fill out the horse/stall portion
of the contestant entry form.
· Submit a $25.00 stall reservation
deposit for each horse being brought on a separate
Check/Money Order with your contestant entry
form.
By IGRA rules the hosting association
is to provide, at no charge, a minimum of one
(1) horse stall per contestant entering horse
events. Additional stalls will be available
for $25.00
Horse check-in will start at 9am Friday, July
25, 2008. Cost for additional stalls are $25
each, payment due at time of registration.
Barn Manager will assign stalls. Shavings can
be purchased from a nearby feed store. All
animals are to be off the grounds by Noon on
Monday, July 28, 2008
It will be the contestant’s responsibility
to know the state laws and rules regarding
Health Certificates and Coggins tests for each
state that will be traveled. For additional

NEW CONTESTANTS
(MUST READ ) If
you've never competed in gay rodeo before, but have always wanted to, here's
how to get started:
MANDATORY MEETING FOR NEW CONTESTANTS -
All NEW Contestants must attend a mandatory meeting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday
at the Rio Linda Rodeo Grounds! Failure to attend this meeting will result
in your not being allowed to compete in the 2008 Sierra Stampede Rodeo.
All contestants must belong to an IGRA member association. You can join
SCCGRA to qualify.
New contestants can register for their events at Friday night's registration
- to be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the host hotel. All contestants must
be registered by close of registration at 9:00 p.m. to compete in the Rodeo.
New contestants are not required to fill out the registration form until
Friday night at registration.
You will receive a copy of the IGRA Rodeo Rulebook at registration. You
can also download it from the IGRA website - IGRA
Rodeo Rulebook (Online Version). It is your responsibility to be familiar with the requirements
listed in the IGRA Rodeo Rulebook.
There is a minimum registration fee of $50.00 to compete in the rodeo.
Each event is $25.00 per event per day. All entry fees paid during
registration must be paid in cash, certified check, or money order.
New contestants
are exempt from all late registration fees.

All contestants are required to wear the following when competing:
- Must
wear a long sleeve shirt for all events
- Must wear long pants for all events
- Must wear a western hat for all events (except all Camp Events)
- Must wear boots that minimally cover the ankle and have a
heel
Note: This dress code does not apply to any camp events, but you
must wear closed toed shoes
Contestants must wear back plate number when competing.
Contestants can not drink alcohol while competing or while wearing
rodeo back plate number.
